Debit Card Specialist – Sturgis, MI
The Software Developer performs a variety of software development and support assignments requiring knowledge of established programming procedures and data processing requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Design, develop and test custom web applications and data integrations
- Create software documentation and update existing documents
- Support new and legacy applications
- Mentor, assist and support other team members
- Communicate effectively with management regarding status updates
- Participate in Agile / Scrum development methodology
- Code, test and troubleshoot programs utilizing the appropriate database and programming technology
- Provide Level II support for GT software and data
- Evaluate simple interrelationships between programs such as whether a contemplated change in one part of a program would cause unwanted results in a related part
- Analyze performance of programs and take action to correct deficiencies based on consultation with users and approval of supervisor
- Confer with users to gain understanding of needed changes or modifications of existing programs
- Resolve questions of program intent, data input, output requirements, and inclusion of internal checks and controls
- Write and maintain programming documentation
- Maintain confidentiality with regard to the information being processed, stored or accessed
- Document programming problems and resolutions for future reference
- Assist personnel of other departments as a computer resource
- Provide on-the-job training to new department staff members

- Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION
Bachelor’s Degree preferred
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Three to five years of software development experience required
- C#, JavaScript, MVC, HTML, CSS, SQL Server, Database Design
- Knowledge of company programming procedures and programming languages
- Ability to process computer data and to format and generate reports
- Ability to implement and troubleshoot programming changes and modifications
- Interpersonal skills
- Strong learner, able to support new systems and applications
- Experience with writing technical instructions in the use of programs and/or program modifications
- Experience with investigating and analyzing information to draw conclusions
