The Brain Injury (BI) waiver is an independent living program. The program helps you develop or re-learn independent living skills after a brain injury.
If you have been medically diagnosed with a brain injury, you can set goals in the program. Your provider and your managed care organization (MCO) will help you set these goals. Then you can receive therapies and services that help you work toward those goals. Your progress will get evaluated every six months until they are no longer in need of these services.
At GT Independence, we believe you should be able to experience life on your own terms. As a financial management service (FMS), we help you manage your services and supports. You control your care. We take care of the details. This includes all of the paperwork, like taxes and payments to your providers. We also handle all background screenings for your support providers. Our goal is to help you successfully self-direct your own care.
