We’re One of West Michigan’s Best and Brightest Companies to Work For!

For the 5th year in a row, GT Independence has been named one of the Best and Brightest Companies to Work for in West Michigan.

What is a Best and Brightest recognition?

The Best and Brightest Companies to Work For® program honors companies that display a commitment to excellence. They examine an organization’s human resource practices and employee enrichment. Categories such as work-life balance, employee education, diversity, and retention are also taken into consideration. Their goal is to recognize the most influential and trend-setting companies.

This program is a division of the National Association for Business Resources.

Why does this recognition matter?

This recognition helps prospective employees know more about our culture and core values.

Also, GT’s leadership reviews the feedback from Best and Brightest for areas to improve. We’re always striving to be better than before.

How did we win?

Our internal employees were sent an anonymous survey. This included people in multiple departments, such as customer service, billing, software development, marketing, and more.

The survey looks at these areas:

  • Compensation, Benefits and Employee Solutions
  • Creative Wellness and Wellbeing Solutions, Employee Enrichment, Engagement and Retention
  • Employee Education and Development
  • Recruitment and Selection
  • Employee Achievement and Recognition
  • Communication and Shared Vision
  • Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
  • Work-Life Blend
  • Community Initiatives and Corporate Responsibility
  • Leadership, Strategy and Company Performance

The surveys were assessed by an independent research firm. Winners were then selected by Best and Brightest based on the results.

“Given today’s need for talent, retention of talent, and the further issues related to the pandemic, [companies that made the list] have proven they are superior to market conditions. They are elite thinkers and this honor demonstrates their commitment to excellence.”
