We’ve Been Certified as a Great Place to Work — Again!
GT Independence was recently named a Great Place to Work for the 2nd year in a row. And we are so excited about it!
What is a Great Place to Work certification?
The goal of the Great Place to Work organization is to set higher standards for employee treatment in workplaces. How employees are treated can make or break a workplace. Great Place to Work wants every business to celebrate their employees and take pride in creating a healthy working environment.
Great Place to Work is a certification based on the Great Place to Work Trust Model™. Certifications are good for one year. This helps make sure that the companies continue to meet the mark. They also let potential employees know more about what it’s like to work there.
Why does this certification matter?
The certification tells participants, employees, care managers, and the community that we care about the people that work here. And it shows that we’re living up to our core values.
Also, GT’s leadership reviews the feedback from the Great Place to Work surveys and identifies ways and places we can improve the company for our employees. Because employees are the true heart of any business.
How did we get certified?
Our internal employees were surveyed by Great Place to Work. This included people in multiple departments, such as customer service, billing, software development, marketing, and more.
The survey looks at three key attributes:
- Credibility
- Respect
- Fairness
Great Place to Work collected the survey responses anonymously and compiled them for GT to review. If a company scores high enough, then they’re certified. This year is our second year of getting certified.
The Numbers
88% of our employees said GT is a great place to work. That’s well above the national average of 57%.
More than 90% of our employees also said:
When our employees talked about working at GT, the words they used most were people, love, family, and home.
