MI Coordinated Health (MICH) Waiver Program Overview
The MICH program gives you a range of health care and services in one package. If you qualify for the program, you can get medical and behavioral care, home and community-based services, medication and transportation. You can also receive nursing home care. Plus, you’ll have help from a care coordinator who will help you create a plan and connect you to the services and supports that are important to you.
Who the MICH Waiver Program Serves
- Adults aged 21 years or older
- Michigan residents of certain counties
- Those enrolled in both Medicaid and Medicare
- Adults not living in a state-operated veteran’s home
- Those not currently enrolled in hospice
- Must live in the Michigan counties of Barry, Berrien, Branch, Calhoun, Cass, Kalamazoo, Macomb, St. Joseph, Van Buren, Wayne or any county in the Upper Peninsula (except Chippewa, Gogebic, and Menominee).
With the MICH Waiver Program, You [Participants] Can…
- Get health care and services covered by Medicare and Medicaid
- Use one plan and one card for the care you need
- Have a care coordinator who can help you manage everything you need
- Avoid co-pays and deductibles on medication covered under the plan
