Amancia is nominated as the caregiver of Mirian’s mother who has Alzheimer’s. “Amancia is compassionate, patient, responsible and has all my mother’s trust. She is the best caregiver I could ever imagine,” says Mirian.

Israel

Israel is nominated for taking care of his mother. He had his mother move in with him after she was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and dementia. He is such an amazing man, he left his job to make her his priority. He hangs out with her, cooks, cleans, takes her to appointments and shopping. He is truly a blessing,” says Sandy.

Yolanda is nominated for being the caregiver for her mom. Yolanda says, “It’s an honor and a blessing to have a close bond with my mom. I’m very grateful for her and it’s the best job to have. Mom is not only my mom, she’s my hero, bestfriend, and we love to laugh.”

Sarah R.

Sarah is nominated for taking care of her nephew, Josh. Josh’s mom says, “Josh gets pretty bored with mom and dad, thankfully Aunt Sarah loves taking Josh on the weekends and always plans fun outings for him and works with him on his goals. She gives us a much needed break and we are so thankful for her!”

Brianna L.

Brianna is nominated for being her brother’s caregiver. “Brianna goes above and beyond for Blake and her family. She is a true advocate for people with special needs. She helped her brother attend homecoming along with many talent shows and other community events. She is a wonderful, caring person,” says Theresa.
Danielle

Danielle H.

Danielle is nominated for being Jacqui’s caregiver. “We do everything together. I don’t have grandkids so when she brings her boys over, I consider them my grandkids and they call me grandma, which is the best feeling in the world. Danielle is like a daughter to me and I can’t say enough how much I appreciate her and what she does for me,” says Jacqui.

Lisa

Lisa is nominated for being Cynthia’s caregiver. “She always goes above and beyond what is expected of her. She helps me with everything and doesn’t make me feel uncomfortable at all which is very important. Lisa is very attentive to my needs and is positive and uplifting all the time. I don’t know what I’d do without her,” says Cynthia.

Simona H.

Simona is nominated for the loving care she provides to her son. Simona reminds her son daily that she is there for him and he feels happy and safe with her. Simona gets her son out for walks and to go shopping for his favorite books and she comforts him by holding his hand. Simona’s daughter says, “He really loves being able to have family with him.”
Cecilia C.

Cecilia C.

Cecilia is nominated by her sister for being an exceptional caregiver to their mother. “She had a great job and gave that up to care for our mom who requires 24/7 care. I go to work every day with ease in my mind knowing that she is in the best hands possible. I couldn’t be more thankful for Cecilia and all she does,” says Joanne.

Laura

Laura is nominated for caring for her daughter, Siobhan, who sustained a spinal cord injury resulting in quadriplegia. “My mom and I have always been close, but my injury has brought us even closer, we’re best friends. She takes care of me and my dad all while maintaining our household and having a part time job. She is the strongest, hardest working person I know,” says Siobhan.

Emma Kate

Emma Kate is nominated for taking care of Ashlie’s daughter, Skyler. “Emma Kate has been a tremendous help to our family and a true blessing. Skyler absolutely loves her and calls her big sister. It has taken us two years to find an incredible caregiver who cares about Skylar as much as we do,” said Ashlie.

Chelsey

Chelsey is nominated for taking care of her grandfather with Alzheimer’s. She covers all the shifts she can to keep him home and loved like only family can.
