Find Your Career at GT Independence
GT Independence began because the Carmichael family wanted their own family with disabilities to live their best life. To make this happen, the family looked into alternatives to group homes and nursing homes. And they found self-direction—where people with disabilities or long-term needs can choose how and where to receive support and who delivers that support. Sometimes this can even be friends and family.
The Carmichael family decided to share their knowledge so that others could live the life of their choosing, too. GT is committed to inclusion and accessibility, with over 10% of our workforce made up of individuals living and working with disabilities.
GT is officially a financial management services company, but we are much more. We’re advocates for self-direction and its vital role in building trusted communities of care and support.
From our small-town start in 2004, GT has become a company supporting over 55,000 people nationwide. Family-founded, GT has more than 900 employees and a presence in over 20 states (and counting). Since 2018, GT has grown at an average annual rate of 21%, and the opportunities for career development have grown with us.
